Industrial Market Research Reports byMBD MARKET RESEARCH REPORTS |
|
Released: November 2011 After researching the UK electrical wholesale market development and taking into account various other factors the following conclusions can be drawn from MBD's report: Market Review 2007-2011: In 2009, the UK electrical wholesalers market declined by an estimated 14% to a period low of £2901 million, and the recovery in 2010 was very weak at only 1% growth including inflation (thereby being a reduction in real terms). Growth in 2011 appears somewhat stronger at nearly 5%, but in practice some of this is accounted for by inflation, despite severe price pressure. Market Forecast 2012-2015: In 2012 the UK electrical wholesalers market is expected to strengthen, and while 2% growth may not appear prolific, real growth of 2% will represent a considerable improvement on the recent fortunes of the market. Economic uncertainties remain, but with the government now looking to address housing issues, there are opportunities for a more sustained period of growth. Commercial and industrial construction demand will only offer sustained growth when the current turmoil of the Euro starts to rectify and business confidence returns.
